Animals becoming extinct, less available clean drinking water, glaciers rapidly melting, countries becoming flooded; these and many more are all problems we are facing in our everyday lives due to global warming. â€Å"The warnings about global warming have been extremely clear for a long time. We are facing a global climate crisis. It is deepening. We are entering a period of consequences.† Said Al Gore in a speech at the National Sierra Club Convention in 2005. Many would agree with Gore in taking the side that global warming is the greatest threat to our world today. Many would agree that because of these extremely harmful effects global warming has on the earth, it is the greatest threat to our world today. Another negative effect global warming has on the earth is the spread of diseases. As countries become warmer, insects migrate north. These insects carry diseases and plagues which they bring to these northern countries, such as mosquitos carrying malaria. Malaria and other similar disease carried by migrating insects jump from one host to the next, infected a whole community within a small amount of time. With so many patients becoming infecting so quickly, public health services are becoming overwhelmed, leading to a negative impact on the economy. This job gave Einstein a lot of free time, during which he performedscientific experiments. These experiments led to the Papers of 1905. ThePapers of 1905 were three papers written by Einstein to a German scientificperiodical called Annals of Physics. The first paper was the Quantum Theory, which was basically aboutquanta and the flow of light. This explained how intense light couldrelease electrons from metal. For this paper, Einstein received the NobelPrize in Physics in 1921. The second paper was Einsteins Special Theoryof Relativity. This is the most famous of Albert Einsteins works. Thetheory of relativity revolutionized scientific thought with new ideas oftime, space, mass, motion, and gravitation. It treated matter and energyas exchangeable, not distinct and also laid the basis of nuclear energy(E=mc). The third of these papers was about Brownian Motion. Figure 1: The steps followed in using the presentation wizard In step 3 of the wizard, the basic slide transition effect was selected as Comb Horizontal which again was considered to be suitable because it matched both the cocktail depictions and the horizontally striped background. The speed was set as normal. This setting was applied to all the slides and all the slides except the ones showing the cocktails individually retained this setting. During step 4, the main title and the presenters name were entered. In ste p 5, the content pages suggested by the wizard were deselected because they were related to introducing a new product whereas I only used the background and style from this template. The cover or title slide of the presentation is shown below. Figure 2: Screenshot of the title slide of the presentation The presentation was then given an outline and ordering for the slides as shown in the table below. The initial duration of each slide is also stated in the third column and these timings were set according to the length of the time required to view or read the contents of each slide. The glasses sound effect was used for the main slide transitions besides the horizontal combing effect. Later, background music was also added to the presentation to give an impression of being in a place where cocktails are being served as far as possible. Also the same blind effect was used for all the transitions set at a duration of 2 seconds and the sound effect was removed so that the background music could be heard instead. Each slide was also made to display for the same duration of 5 seconds. The different cocktails are first shown together (in slide 2) as shown below, and then indi vidually while being enlarged. Slides 3 to 10 have been made to behave as sub-slides by appearing between two slides both showing the complete range of cocktails. That is, to reinforce that this displying of the cocktails individually is a momentary divergence, the same picture of different cocktails in slide 11 appears as in slide 2. The flags above each cocktail show the origin of that cocktail and the preparation time is also marked inside a black circle besides each glass.
